RivkaH Ross
Rivkah Ross has been creating excitement in the West Coast jazz world for the past decade. She draws inspiration from the beautiful Pacific Northwest, the fiery, unconventional drumming of Roy Haynes and her own hopes and dreams for the future. Rivkah has toured Europe three times, performing with Jeff Hershey and the Heartbeats, who opened up for Dick Dale, the B-52s, and The New Mastersounds. Other experiences of note included opening up for LMFAO and Lady Gaga, and performing with Stevie Wonder as part of a drum ensemble for Stevie Wonder's Annual House of Toys at the Nokia Theater.
During the gig drought of the COVID pandemic, the frustration of the time sparked her to create a series of original jazz compositions. Since things began opening up again, Rivkah has been inspiring and exciting audiences with these musical ideas.
Rivkah is working on a new album that will debut many of these compositions. Come join us next Saturday to get a sneak peek!
In between gigs, Rivkah works as a special education teacher. She shows kids who have Dyslexia how to learn using all of their senses, rather than absorbing the information in just one way. Musical inspiration comes from many sources.
