Gordon Lee Quartet!
Sat April 2 at 7:30 the Gordon Lee Quartet makes a triumphal return to Loosewig! Last time Gordon packed the house was November of 2019, three months before covid. This concert will feature many new, original compositions, so be sure to take advantage of this great musical opportunity!
The all-star lineup includes:
Gordon Lee - piano, composer
Renato Caranto - tenor saxophone
Gary Hobbs - drums
Dennis Caiazza - bass
Gordon Lee is a composer, jazz pianist, arranger, conductor and music educator who is well known throughout the Pacific Northwest. Lee believes that jazz has given him a musical language to express himself in traditional forms from European idioms of music. He has taught at Portland State University, Portland Community College, Clackamas Community College and currently teaches jazz improvisation and directs a big band at Mt. Hood Community College.
Lee performed in New York City for five years in the early 80’s before returning to his roots in Portland, Oregon. He has worked with such people as Don Cherry, Bobby Hutcherson, Richie Cole, Frank Foster, Bill Frizzell, Leroy Vinnegar, Bob Moses, Gladys Night & the Pips, and the Temptations.
Requested Donation at the Door: $20 Adults, $5 Students
(Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds. All donations go directly to the musicians.)

This is a potluck jazz party event. Please bring something small to share with others (snacks, nuts, wine, etc.).
Please bring warm socks or house shoes. This is a shoes-off household.
The doors open at 6:30pm! Get here early for a good seat!
