In the tradition of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, internationally acclaimed composer/pianist Ezra Weiss leads this incredible sextet, comprised of some of the finest musicians in the world. Farnell Newton (George Duke, Bootsie Collins), Noah Bernstein (Grammies, Shy Girls), Devin Phillips (Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Palmieri), Eric Gruber (Danilo Perez, Darrell Grant), and Christopher Brown (Roy Hargrove, Benny Golson) perform Weiss's original compositions and arrangements with high energy and beautiful depth. Their most recent album, Before You Know It [Live in Portland] made numerous year-end Top 10 lists in the press and spent numerous weeks on the JazzWeek radio charts.
